It is interesting how..as a twenty-something woman, I, like many in my demographic, have spent years with vivid dreams for that perfect day. The perfect, white dress. The elaborately constructed 5 tier cake. The aroma of fresh, sweet, precisely placed bouquets of flowers. And the soothing hum of Canon D echoing in the backdrop.
The fantasy continues for years. But, are these merely fantasies after all? When it is time to begin the process of picking the "perfect, white dress", deciding who should share your day with you and countless hours of when, where and why's; is it the same as in those dreams? Is the wedding of your "dreams" something that is tangible or even desirable? Do these fantasies set young women up for disappointment and expectation?
